Meet Juan Carlos Hernandez, DDS

Dr. Juan Carlos Hernandez, DDS, is an esteemed dental professional with a distinguished career marked by dedication and expertise. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Hernandez obtained his dentistry degree from Javeriana University in 1996 before relocating to New York City to further his education. At New York University, he completed rigorous training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics through the International Program, followed by the Advanced Dentistry Program, earning his DDS in 2007.

With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Hernandez served in the US Army active-duty service at Fort Stewart for three years following his graduation. He then transitioned to Atlanta, where he continued his practice at Balance Advanced Dentistry & Orthodontics while also serving as a Dental Officer in the Georgia National Guard. Dr. Hernandez's dedication to his profession and patients led him to pursue further specialization, completing two fellowship programs in orthodontics and a comprehensive three-year residency program in orthodontics and orthopedics.

Recognized for his exceptional skill and knowledge, Dr. Hernandez has achieved the prestigious distinction of being a Board Certified Orthodontist by The American Association of Orthodontics. Furthermore, his commitment to service extends to his military career, where he now holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) in The Georgia National Guard.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Hernandez warmly welcomes patients of all ages to his practice. As a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, he ensures that each patient receives personalized, comprehensive care of the highest standard. With his extensive experience, advanced training, and board certification, patients can trust Dr. Hernandez for exceptional orthodontic and dental services.
